Studio Etiquette

1. Punctuality

Starting your practice from a place of calmness and ease is important for you, your fellow students and teacher. Give yourself 10-15 minutes before class to find parking, get changed, set up your space, get familiar with the facility and let your stress start to fade away. Your body and your mind will thank you.

 

 

2. Shoes & Phone off

We want this space to feel like home, and home is always a cozy place to walk around in socks/bare feet. Please refrain from walking on the studio floor with your kicks! During the WINTER months PLEASE be mindful of carrying in the salt and snow. Do your best to stamp those boots off before making it to the studio. Our floors thank you! Put your footwear on OUTSIDE THE STUDIO in the hallway.

Please turn off/silence your cell phone at the studio. Don’t worry, we won`t call you out if you forget (it happens), however, a ringing phone is a huge distraction to you and fellow students.

 

 3. Voices

Please avoid speaking loud in the studio. Be mindful that others may be meditating in the studio before or after class. We ask that you keep your voices low in the hallway area as classes may be in session.

 

4. Leave your bag/keys

We have cubbies for your belongings. Please do not leave all your stuff on the studio floor beside you. We need the space for other yogi’s!

 

5. Perfume

Please be sensitive about the products you use. A sensitive nose can be affected quite severely during practice.

 

6. Props

Feel free to grab the necessary props for your practice when you arrive. We do ask that you bring your own mat, but there are some available if you forget! We suggest you bring a blanket for your practice and your final rest. Please neatly put away your props the way you found them. There will be a natural cleanser to wipe down your mat.

 

7. Sign In

Once you have settled in, found your space on the floor, please initial beside your name on the attendance form. If you are a drop-in, sign your name at the bottom.

 

Reminders:

At Inner Dawn Yoga , we do not allow students to assist or spot each other in class without the express supervision, direction and consent of the teacher.

It is typical for teachers to perform hands-on assists to students in class. If you are uncomfortable with this method of teaching, please let your teacher know.
If students are disruptive, disrespectful, conversing privately in a disruptive manner or attempting to teach each other above the instruction, the instructor reserves the right to respectfully ask them to discontinue for the safety and consideration of the rest of the students in class.

We will never, under any circumstances, force or coerce a student to perform a pose against their will or keep them from leaving class.

 

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

After a reservation is made, you may cancel your reservation online up to 60 minutes before the beginning of the class, which is considered an “early cancellation.” All early cancellations will be placed back on your account for future use. Please be advised that there are no refunds for any purchases made online. Additionally, no refunds or credits will be issued if you are unable to attend the class and fail to cancel the reservation according to the early cancellation guidelines described above.

PURCHASE POLICY

STUDIO SCHEDULE POLICY
Inner Dawn Yoga will on occasion change the activities and class schedule to better suit the needs of you the student and the studio.
The weekly schedule is subject to change at any time due to monthly, seasonal and/or other reasons and refunds, transfers or holds will not be issued.
Schedule is posted on website with changes posted with proper notice from staff.  Schedule will have changes due to instructor vacation and availability.  Memberships/class cards are not refunded or extended due to schedule changes or limited class offerings during a short time of coverage changes.
The Studio will be closed for all Canadian Holidays,  approximately two weeks at Christmas and two weeks in the summer. We thank you for your compassion in understanding that our small studio needs a break too! The studio is not responsible for “adding” weeks or classes to your memberships or pass during these allotted studio closures.
CLASS PACKAGE POLICY
PAYMENT FOR CLASSES
Payment for yoga is always due at the time service is rendered. Unless you have made specific arrangements with management.
ALL CLASS PASSES HAVE A ONE YEAR EXPIRY DATE.
RECURRING BILLING / MONTHLY AUTODRAFT
The auto-draft contract Recurring Month Unlimited pass is a 3-month minimum commitment.
30 days notice to cancel is required. Otherwise the recurring auto-billing contract will continue indefinitely.
Please email:lisa@innerdawnyoga.com to give official 30 days notice to cancel.If you would need to cancel within the 3 month minimum commitment a $50 fee will be applied in addition to your final payment 30 days thereafter. If you need to cancel immediately anytime during your contract without giving 30 days notice, a $75 early cancellation fee is applied.
– your credit card used at the point of purchase will be auto-drafted each month on the same calendar date as the original purchase date. (For example, if you purchase on the 1st, your account will be drafted automatically each proceeding month on the 1st)CLASS PACKAGES (MEMBERS AND PASS HOLDERS) can only be used for regular scheduled yoga classes excluding special workshops, series or teacher training/development programs.UNLIMITED MONTHLY MEMBERS RECEIVE 10% OFF WORKSHOPS. This will automatically come off the price of the workshop when you pay online.SHARING CLASS PACKAGES
We do not share class passes or membershipsFREEZING & HOLDING MEMBERSHIPS
We do not extend freezes for memberships unless the circumstances are dire, as in extreme illness or injury.
Class packages may not be extended to accommodate business travel or vacation dates. Please see Lisa, should you have questions regarding putting your membership on hold.

WORKSHOP/SERIES/PROGRAMS/TEACHER TRAINING PAYMENT POLICY

A workshop/series/program deposit (if applicable to the program) and program tuition payment is required in full the day of booking. Unless there is a specific payment plan offered and selected for the workshop/series/program that is being offered.

If you select the payment plan option (if applicable to the workshop/series/program you are participating in),
the deposit (if applicable) plus the first installment is due on the FIRST DAY OF CLASS.
No exceptions.

 REFUND AND TRANSFER POLICY

REFUNDS & TRANSFERS
All class passes and memberships have an expiration date and are non-refundable or transferable from one student to another.
We will not give refunds for classes taken or partially taken.
WORKSHOP/SERIES/TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM CANCELLATIONS
If you cancel 2 days prior to the workshop/series/program/training start date, you will be issued a refund minus a 10% workshop admin fee. You can also use the payment towards another workshop.
No refunds, no transfers and no credits for cancellations within 2 days of workshop start date unless extreme illness or injury is the cause.
In addition, no refunds or credits for failure to attend or failure to complete

 

PRIVATE SESSION CANCELLATIONS
Private Sessions must be cancelled 24 hours in advance or student will be charged for the full rate of the session.

RIGHT TO CANCEL OR CHANGE CLASS/WORKSHOP/TEACHER TRAINING/RETREAT
INNER DAWN YOGA reserves the right to cancel or change the date of a class, workshop or retreat at any time. We will do our very best to notify all students by email, website posting, online scheduler announcement bar, Facebook  postings and by verbal announcements as soon as we have made the decision.

INCLEMENT WEATHER CANCELLATIONS
On some occasions it becomes necessary to close the studio due to inclement weather.
Please consult the website, Facebook and online scheduler announcement bar and email for weather cancellations.

 

PRIVACY POLICY

What information do we collect?

Currently, INNER DAWN YOGA gathers information (such as name, e-mail address and postal code) strictly for contact purposes. In some cases we ask for other optional information including additional EMERGENCY contact information and certain demographic information (such as phone number and gender). We also need to be aware of your current health condition so that we can properly show you modifications, adjust, assist and inform you of what is considered safe for your body. Our mission is to safely assist and support you in a comfortable yoga practice.

How do we use your information?

We may use your information to communicate special offers, promotions and information about our studio to you via email. If you do not wish to receive these emails you will have the option to opt out of future mailings.

We will not share your personally identifiable information with third parties, outside of the limited circumstances referenced in the paragraph immediately below.

How do we use your email information?

At Inner Dawn Yoga we respect your concerns about privacy. We collect email information to provide a more personalized and relevant experience. If you give us your email address, we will send you emails about exclusive offers and monthly news at IDY.  If you have previously opted out of receiving emails from us, providing updated information will act as an ‘opt back-in’.

If you want to opt-out of receiving promotional emails, simply click on the unsubscribe link located on the bottom of all of our emails. Although we strive to update our email list as frequently as possible, you might receive another contact before we are able to remove you.

Please note that you will continue to receive Member Services related communications as it pertains to your member account. IDY may use any of your contact information held on file (including Email, Mailing, Phone & Fax) to communicate with you in relation to day to day administrative activities, such as freeze requests, online purchases and important service alerts.

IDY never sells or rents your name, e-mail address, or any other personally identifiable information to third-parties.

We only share user information in the ways described below:

Agents: We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include creating and maintaining our Web site, sending postal mail and e-mail, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance and providing customer service. They have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.

 

Go at your own pace. Be gentle and respectful towards your body, never moving to the point of pain. There is no timeline, and nothing to prove-yoga is a life long journey. No need to compare yourself with anyone.

Please tell the teacher if you have an injury, are pregnant or any other health issue before class

Eat a light, healthy meal at least 1 to 2 hours before class

Drink plenty of water before and after each class

If you must leave early, tell the teacher in advance, place your mat near the door and leave quietly before everyone gets into the final relaxation pose.

We always encourage you stay for the final relaxation pose…it’s the BEST PART!
